Art Paper is clay coated paper which leads to weight, surface gloss, smoothness or reduced ink absorbency in the paper. This allows for cleaner crisper printing, especially in photos, blends and fine details.
Types of Coating:
- Gloss: Gloss coated paper has a high shine. Gloss papers have low bulk. Gloss coatings reduce ink absorption, which gives the sheet an excellent colour definition.
- Matt: Matt coated paper is a non-glossy paper and contain high bulk. The coating still keeps much of the ink from being absorbed by the paper, which produces excellent & vibrant colour.
- C1S (Coated One Side): the coating is applied to only one side of the paper. Also called Chromo Paper.
- C2S (Coated Two Side): the coating is applied to both sides of the paper.
